Q)
Chris, What is up wit cha headbuster? Well first of all thanks for bringing the passion of football an the 110% effort you put into it to the Panthers. I have been to every home game this year an I have witnessed the wickedness you bring into that defense and I just wanna say thanks and also thanks to whoever gave you up for a third-round-pick. Wow! ------------------Matt, Monroe, Nc

Matt,
Thank you so much. I love the game and I play as hard as I can. It is a physical game. You have to be prepared for that. As for who gave me up for a third-round pick, that would be the Chicago Bears. It has worked out great for me.

Hey Chris, I just want to tell you that its great to have you in Charlotte. The fact the we were able to STEAL you from Chicago for a 5th rounder amazes me. To get a player of you ability and also a good role model on and off the field for a 5th rounder doesn't happen often. I have an 8 year old son who playes saftey and middle linebacker and he models himself ater you and Beason. I took him to his first Panther game against Detroit this past week and that hit you laid on Kevin Smith just made him jump out of his seat. I hope you keep that Panther uniform on until your ready to call it a career.

Chris,
Wow, that is an amazing message. Thank you very, very much. I try to conduct myself as a professional on and off the field. I love the game and I cherish the opportunity to play. To know that I have made your son feel that way is a blessing to me. Thank you again. I love it here in Carolina and I would love to be here as long as they'll have me.

Chris, just wondering how you manage to hit people so hard (almost killing Isaac Bruce, injuring Cadillac Williams, decking offensive lineman from the Bears). I don't know why you get more recognition. It's really refreshing to see an aggressive player other than Jon Beason play for the Panthers...

Thank you. I think we have a lot of physical players on this defense. You learn at a young age that this is a physical game. You have to take it to the other guy, or he is going to take it to you. That's the nature of the game. Football is a physical, violent game. It's a matter of survival, so I've always had it in my head to get after it. I like the physical play. I don't want to hurt anybody, but I want to bring it on every play.

Q)
Chris, I agree with everything that Francine from Arkansas said and would like to add a story of my own. Last year, My girlfriend and I had the chance to meet you at fan fest and I jokingly asked you "how does it feel to be a part of a real defense this year." Well after you politely spoke with us and left I asked my girlfriend who she thought would have a good year for the defense this year and she said, without hesitation, Number 43 - Chris Harris. From then on she and I have been on your bandwagon. I recently custom ordered her a 43 jersey with Harris on the back and she will be sporting it all year. I'm a PSL Owner in section 104 and rest assured when the defense needs the noise, I will do my best to get the crowd up. Here's hoping for a great injury free year for you and the team. Go Panthers

Q)
Hi Chris, Nice web site! What challenges do you feel the Panther defense should overcome during the season? & Will you be participating in any community events in Charlotte this year? Keep us posted!....Martene

Thank you for your compliment. I think our defense just has to go out there and do its thing. We just have to play ball and be aggressive and make sure we communicate with each other. I think we have all the pieces in place, I really do. It is a matter of going out there each week and playing to our capability.
As for the community events, I do plan to be involved. I've got some things going with the Boys and Girls Club in Charlotte and I plan to be involved as much as I can be this year.

I'm glad you are still following me and I appreciate the support. I'm really excited about this season and about being playoff team. I have high expectations both for myself and for the team. I want to be a big-play maker once again. I have that mentality that I have to go out there and force turnovers. It's a habit for me. So I'm read to go!

Yeah, I am looking forward to that game very much. We play San Diego on Sunday and that is the focus, but ever since the schedule came out some of my former teammates in Chicago and some of the guys here have been kidding me about that game. I'll be hyped. I'll be ready to go and play the Bears. First things first, though. We have to get ready for the Chargers.
